Discover the Hornstrandir Peninsula

Starting from Ísafjörður, a small fishing village, the Hornstrandir Peninsula is located in the western fjords region and is a dream destination for trekkers with its many villages, natural hot springs, perfect fishing spots, shores to discover by kayak and beautiful mountains to climb.

It is a birds watchers’ paradise with more than fifty different species and ideal for photographers. The Hornstrandir natural reserve is a haven for fauna and flora. You will most probably see whales, seals and, with a bit of luck, arctic foxes.

The sun will never set at that time of year giving you all the time you want to explore.

These trips will have to be planned together with KAMAK‘s skippers who can tell you what is doable in terms of sailing and access. You will not have a guide on board and some spirit of adventure will be required making your experience all the more unique and personal.
