Conceived as a floating mountain refuge, KAMAK is much more than a sailboat. It is a robust, reliable and self-sufficient travel companion, built to navigate in the most hostile environments: frozen fjords, rough seas, remote headlands.

Comfort on board : Fishing equipment, 3 sea kayaks, heated cupboard allowing drying of equipment and clothes, large kitchen, piano.
The KAMAK crew
At KAMAK Expeditions , the crew is not a fixed team. We function as a pool of experienced captains and first mates , all trained in our way of sailing: demanding, human and focused on exploration.
Each season, we assemble tailor-made crews from trusted sailors who have often already proven themselves aboard the KAMAK . This approach allows us to guarantee a high level of safety , excellent cohesion , and a faithful transmission of the KAMAK spirit , while maintaining the flexibility necessary for expeditions.

KAMAK allows you to combine two worlds, that of the sea and that of the mountains.
It is subject to the constraints, hazards and unforeseen events that mountaineers and sailors
know well! Whether it concerns navigation conditions (wind, swell, currents, ice) or mountain conditions (weather, snow conditions), the crew on one side and the guide or companion on the other may have to modify the program at any moment to
adapt to the conditions of the moment.
Adaptability is key! While the professionals responsible for everyone’s safety have the final say, passengers are involved in choosing alternatives as much as possible. The main objective of the trip may be abandoned
due to a major safety concern… but new
, sometimes completely unexpected, goals may emerge! It’s therefore essential to be open to opportunities and changes.
Life on board in a confined space also has its rules! KAMAK isn’t a
luxury hotel, but rather a mountain refuge, and we try to make it
as comfortable as possible. Participating in communal tasks (setting the table, washing up) embodies the solidarity required by life on board, as does respecting the guidelines and using the available services responsibly.
